Metacognition Worksheet: Taking a Bird’s Eye View

Thank you for your interest in the Metacognition: Taking a Bird’s Eye View handout.

How do humans develop self-awareness? Research shows us that self-awareness begins in childhood, and is linked to metacognitive processes of the brain.

Each brain is different. If we can truly understand how we best acquire knowledge, we can learn to regulate our behavior to optimize learning. If we can tap into our strengths our metacognitive abilities increase.

This handout details the elements involved in one’s ability to think about one’s thinking.

Cheers!
